No room at the Inn...Berlin

Our time in Berlin....when the city had no rooms left! We flew into Berlin around 6:00pm and went to the Tourism Information desk and kindly asked where we should stay that was nice and reasonably priced. Both the women behind the counter began to laugh and said in perfect english "The entire city is completely full!" We thought they were just playing a joke on us, but quickly learned that they were very serious! We tried every hotel/hostel in Berlin and finally after a few hours found a hotel with one room left....the price tag was 300 EURO! We had to take it, since they wouldn't let us sleep in the airport. Although the hotel was nice, it was NOT 300 euros nice!

The next day we got up early and when about seeing the many sites that Berlin has. We started at 'Check-Point Charlie' which used to the only way to get through the Berlin Wall. After we went to the Holocaust Memorial and Museum which was EXTREMELY amazing and powerful! We learned so much in the few hours we spent there and we will never forget it! Monaco & Princess Grace

Mac and I had the most wonderful day yesterday!! We took a bus from NICE to Monaco, which is about a half hour away. Monaco is fabulous!!! It was very special for Mac and I to spend some time there because my pops actually grew up with Grace Kelly! So needless to say learning all about Princess Grace was such a thrill! Monaco has a very clean and romantic feel to it. I imagined what it was like for Grace to pull up on a boat to see this Mediterranean masterpiece that would become her home! It’s a real life fairy tale.

After our long day in Monaco, Mac and I decided to head to the market to grab some dinner and vino! We made ourselves a yummy salad and picked up a fresh loaf of bread from the bakery, and headed to the beach! We sat on the beach for our romantic dinner until Ratatouille (the local French rat) decided to join us!!! So we moved our dinner up to a bench where we finished our dinner & wine and listened to the water until late into the night. I may not be a Princess in Monaco, but I feel like I am living my very own fairy tale! Miss you all! Xoxox

Mountains to Mediterranean

We just got done spending two wonderful days in Grenoble (the city where Mac studied abroad ). It was so nice to see all of the places Mac told me so much about while he studied there. We are now in NICE, which reminds me of LA (not sure if that’s good or bad thing yet). The city is right on the French Rivera, and the water is a beautiful green blue! We are heading to Monaco tomorrow to see where the famous Princess Grace lived. We will do lots of people watching ….many fancy cars and facelifts :) Our hotel is….um less than par, unfortunately we have paid for three nights so we will be staying. We are not in Bellevue any more Toto! We miss you all and love when you check our blog. More pictures to come! Au Revoir!!

J'aime Paris

Hello Everyone,
We have been in Paris for a couple of days now and are enjoying every minute! We are here with Meghan's brother Joe and his fiancee Sarah. The first night we were here we ate Fondue (boiling cheese dip) and last night we had dinner in the Eiffel Tour. We also have been walking all over the city seeing the sites and taking boat tours on the Siene River. Tommorrow we will be going to Varsaille to see where King Louis XV and XVI lived.
