Gibbon Experience!!!

SUNRISE VIEW
OUR TREE HOUSE

The Gibbon Experience in Northern Laos was one of the most unique and interesting experiences of our lives!! We trekked into the Jungle with 10 other people and 5 guides, then we all put on climbing harnesses and one by one we zip lined 500 feet above the ground to different tree houses. We stayed two nights in the tree houses and were able to zip all around the forest! There are about 25 different zip lines ranging from 500 to 1200 feet in length!!! Our tree house was about 250 feet above the ground and the only way in or out was via zip line!! The guides zipped in with every home cooked meal! And every morning we awoke to the sounds of Gibbon monkeys singing in the jungle. Everyone should get the opportunity to live like the Gibbons!

Mekong River

We took a slow boat for 2 days up the Mekong River from Luang Prabang Laos, to Houay Xai in Northern Laos. It was a very SLOW boat and the wood seats were only comfortable for the first hour... but the next 18 were a bit uncomfortable! We had to stop for one night in Pak Beng....a small town that only has electricity from 6:00pm - 10:00pm. All in all it was a nice experience, but next time we will take a pillow with us!

Luang Prabang, Laos

This is the most incredible place Mac and have ever seen. The people, the food, the weather, and scenery were all so amazing I can not even begin to express them in writing. If you ever get an opportunity to come to this place...COME. In fact we may never leave :)

Bangkok, Thailand

We spent two days in Bangkok. Our hotel was SO nice!! Mac and I took a tour of the city and saw lots of templels all along the river! Bangkok is a very busy city and although we enjoyed it... we were excited to explore the more rural areas.

Charles Anthony McIntyre...

We were able to come home October 15th and spend two weeks with Charley before he passed on. Now we are starting our journey again, because that is what he would have wanted. We love you Charley and we will continue telling your stories.
