The Gibbon Experience in Northern Laos was one of the most unique and interesting experiences of our lives!! We trekked into the Jungle with 10 other people and 5 guides, then we all put on climbing harnesses and one by one we zip lined 500 feet above the ground to different tree houses. We stayed two nights in the tree houses and were able to zip all around the forest! There are about 25 different zip lines ranging from 500 to 1200 feet in length!!! Our tree house was about 250 feet above the ground and the only way in or out was via zip line!! The guides zipped in with every home cooked meal! And every morning we awoke to the sounds of Gibbon monkeys singing in the jungle. Everyone should get the opportunity to live like the Gibbons!

Oh my god, I'm finally catching up with your posts today and it's amazing. You guys have some incredible pictures and it sounds like some awesome stories. I can't wait to hear them...and make some new ones with you! See you in 5 weeks!
Mac and Meg -- I'm enjoying your pics and living vicariously through you guys! Love the tree house:)
The Gibbon thing sounds amazing. Who knew something like that existed? Were you glad to finally get back on the ground? Glad you are having a good time.

Hi Meghan and Mac,
Your Mom forwarded your blog to me--looks like you are having a great time, especially the zipping around! I saw your Mom today--she is well and can't believe that she is actually going to AFRICA! Have a wonderful trip and take care of yourselves.
Blessings and Peace
